Weddings are a time for people to come together. Not just the couple themselves (although certainly them as well!) but friends, family, and other guests. What better place to bring them together than on the dance floor? Dancing at a wedding shouldn’t feel like an obligation, it should be exciting and inviting! It takes a deft hand to make it that way, the ability to read a crowd, a good sense of timing, and of course a solid understanding of the desired tone and tastes of the couple themselves.
Of course, music isn’t the extent of a DJ’s responsibilities at a wedding. An often overlooked skill is the ability to be a good MC, as well. Making well-timed announcements personably without coming across as cheesy or overbearing. We understand that it’s important not to steal the spotlight from the happy couple, but to still get people excited and involved.
